Las Cruces multimedia journalist and 2025-2026 fellow elected to the board of SPJ

Abigail Salas, a Las Cruces native and current fellow in the 2025-2026 cohort is one of the newest board members of the Rio Grande chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Abigail, who has a passion for storytelling, and sharing impactful, meaningful and unique stories was elected to the board last month where she will serve a one-year term. She is currently working as a multimedia journalist for KRWG. She is a graduate of New Mexico State University, where she was a part of KRWGs News22 student-run production.
